About SMART-WHEEL(tm) and Wheels in General
---------------------------------------------
Q: What is Wheeling ?
A: Wheeling is a common term which describes the generation of all of the
valid, unique combinations of a set of numbers. Stated another way,
a wheel makes sure that for a given set of more than 6 numbers, all
possible combinations of those numbers will be played.
Wheeling is often used to increase one's odds of hitting 4 out of 6,
5 out of 6 or even 6 out 6. Of course, wheeling requires one to
select the proper set of numbers to be wheeled and to spend the amount
of money required to fully exploit the wheel.
Q: Why would I consider Wheeling ?
A: Have you ever played the lottery and had some of your numbers selected,
but the numbers that were selected were not grouped together ? It is
common to pick some of the winning numbers, yet have the numbers
scattered across several different playboards. Wheeling provides a
means of covering all combinations of a given set of numbers. For
example, consider the following simple wheel of the first seven
numbers in a 7-number wheel:
Numbers to be wheeled: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Combinations of these numbers in a wheel:
1 2 3 4 5 6
1 2 3 4 5 7
1 2 3 4 6 7
1 2 3 5 6 7
1 2 4 5 6 7
1 3 4 5 6 7
2 3 4 5 6 7
The above example demonstrates how a wheel can cover all of the possible
combinations of numbers. Of course, in actual play, you would choose
seven (or more) numbers that would be wheeled. The resulting "wheel"
would consist of your chosen 7 numbers wheeled, similar to shown above.
Q: What is SMART-WHEEL ?
A: SMART-WHEEL is the BEST BET program's wheeling function. Our wheeling
function provides numerous options not generally available in other
wheeling programs, including:
* Ability to select how many numbers will be wheeled
* Ability to enter the numbers to be wheeled
* Ask computer to select "most-winning" numbers to complete a wheel
* Ask computer to select remaining numbers at random
Q: How does SMART-WHEEL work ?
A: SMART-WHEEL works by asking you how many numbers will be wheeled. You
can choose from 7 to 50 numbers to be wheeled. You are given the
opportunity to review the most-winning numbers next. Then, you should
enter up to how many numbers you want to wheel.
NOTE: If you do not enter all of the numbers for a wheel, SMART-WHEEL
will give you a number of options for completing the wheel, including:
* Continue typing in the rest of the wheel numbers
* Reset the current numbers (start over)
* Review the most-winning numbers again
* Use the most-winning numbers to complete the wheel (using your
entered numbers along with the most-winning numbers to form a
wheel).
* Use random number selection (from simulated lottery machine) to
complete the list of numbers for the wheel.
* Generate the wheel with the current list of numbers.
* Exit and abandon the wheel (do not build the wheel).
Once you have chosen the set of numbers that will be used to build the
wheel, the wheel will be built and shown on the screen. The wheel is shown
as a series of Playboards A-E (similar to a playslip). If more than one
page is required to display the wheel, you will be shown a prompt like:
xx Combinations so far. More (Y/n)
To go to the next page of the wheel display, just press 'Enter' or type
in a 'y'. Upon completely displaying the wheel, the following message
is shown:
Wheel of xx numbers completed with XXX different combinations
The above message says that "xx" numbers (7 to 50) were wheeled and that
it will take the purchase of "XXX" lottery tickets (e.g., for 8 numbers,
there are 28 different combinations, 9 numbers for 84 combos, 10 numbers
for 210 combos, etc.).
